LOS ANGELES - Clippers center Chris Kaman did not participate in any phase of Monday’s morning shootaround and has been ruled out for tonight’s game against the Boston Celtics, due to lingering lower back pain.
According to Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy, Kaman was injured when he was pushed in the back, while going after a rebound, in the Clippers’ victory three night ago against Utah. Kaman has missed the following night’s game against the Lakers.
Kaman started the first 39 games this season and was the last Clipper to play in every game to that point. But including tonight’s game, he will have missed seven of the past 15 games due to illness or injury.
